Get ready for some tasty vocal harmonies! New Manchester based folk trio Café Spice will play their first headline show at Northern Quarter venue Band on the Wall in December, and it’s certainly one to pop in the diary early. The three distinct voices of Georgia Gage, Niamh Feeney and Eleanor Lang make up the group, who met in Manchester in the winter of 2016, later forming Café Spice on a wet and windy night in a curry house on the outskirts of Glasgow. They have built an incredible reputation within the folk music scene recently, touring all over the globe from Wiltshire to Edinburgh to Bangkok, and of course a recent sold out show at Jimmy’s in Manchester. They will be joined by indie folk singer/songwriter Camilla Sky at Band on the Wall on 10 Dec. The upcoming show follows the release of Café Spice’s latest single Open Door which arrived last Fri (27 Sep) and will be their final performance of the year. The three musicians span everything from jazz, blues, pop, country, traditional folk and funk – you can be sure to expect a fantastical mixing pot of genres and Autumnal harmonies that will lull you through the seasonal blues.
