The city’s pretty venue has been silent since October 17 last year – but finally venues are getting their turn to reopen and this big old church hall can welcome back its 21st century congregation. On Thursday 27 May, it reopens with a socially distanced live event from Honeyfeet – a group that knows no limits when it comes to musical influences, and one fronted by a vocalist with an equally diverse vocal ability in Rioghnach Connolly. Jazz, funk, soul, brassy pop… whatever you’re into, they’ll dish you up a slice of it with your Rudy’s pizza. Staying in your civilised seats at this fully seated, table service event might be a bit of a challenge; this band isn’t just big on sound, they’re big on showmanship too.
