Manchester-based music charity Brighter Sounds is looking for talented up-and-coming musicians to join post-punk trio PINS on a week-long residency that’ll share the ins-and-outs of the music industry, allow you to create your own EP and even perform on stage with the band.

This exciting and rare opportunity is available to 16-24 year olds from Greater Manchester, Cheshire and Merseyside who have an eye on pursuing a career in music and developing their skills – with the deadline for applications closing on Sunday 4 July at 11pm.

Taking place at The Met in Bury, this five-day residency will give attendees the chance to collaborate closely with Faith, Kyoko and Abbi from the band, work with like-minded musicians to create and record a brand new EP at Edwin Street Recording Studio, and perform with the band on-stage at The Met on Friday 30 July.

The residency will also provide a crash-course on how to capture the perfect band photography, offer tips for creating a successful indie record label and share information on the key mental health and wellbeing support available for young musicians. To be in with a chance of joining this one-of-a-kind residency, simply head to the Brighter Sounds website and submit your application before the closing date of Sunday 4 July at 11pm.
