With summer in full flow, we’ve rounded up the hottest club nights coming to Manchester over the next few months.
Left, Right and Centre return to Soup for another shindig with Hessle Audio mainstay, Bruce, after February’s raucous affair. Support comes from Manchester’s own Aletha, who returns as a Warehouse Project resident when their season begins this autumn. Finishing off the bill is L,R & C founder and resident, Korzi.
Germany’s continued jazz-funk obsession has rolled on in great strength with four piece outfit, Surprise Chef. Their second album, Daylight Savings was highly acclaimed, with remixes from Masters at Work and Harvey Sutherland cementing their status as a pretty big deal. Support comes from the Creating Patterns DJs, who will no doubt explore Surprise Chef’s eclectic influences with their deep record bags of afro, disco, soul and funk.
Probably one of the most truly eclectic selectors around, Quantic has made a prolific output of amazing albums over the last 20 years. His DJ sets encompass all corners of his productions, taking in all the cinematic style of his trip-hop, to the global sounds of his work with Alice Russell.
Homoelectric’s annual festival is quickly becoming one of the biggest parties in the Queer community’s calendar, probably worldwide. This year is no different, with Roisin Murphy headlining, alongside staples Honey Dijon, Horse Meat Disco and The Blessed Madonna. They’re backed up by a host of queer parties and collectives, across every corner of Mayfield Depot. Not to be missed!
