Promising a ‘funfair of fabric, stone, metal and glass’, Manchester Craft and Design Centre hosts the Kantos Chamber Choir in the heart of the Northern Quarter for an incredible vocal performance.

Craft celebrates the joy of creating whilst acknowledging the crafters and designers ‘who dare to imagine a new life for the humblest of natural resources, remoulding them into something beautiful and new’. Running for one night only on Sat 17 Sep with a Pay What You Can policy, Craft unites folksong and fabric to honour the simple, human joy of reshaping raw materials and transforming our perspectives in the process.

Featuring three world premieres from composers at the Royal Northern College of Music, as well as works from a range of gifted local composers, Craft will ‘take form in a patchwork of folk and choral song’, as the performance explores the significance of making and remoulding across both Mancunian and broader British history.
