Back once again to transform the Mancunian skyline into a family-friendly eldritch nightmare, the MCR Monsters are set to launch their biggest ever invasion of the city centre from Wed  25- Tue 31 Oct with brand new creatures as part of this year’s unmissable Halloween in the City programme.

Designed by artists Filthy Luker and Pedro Estrellas, this year’s grisly cohort of sixteen vibrant beasts takes up familiar residences, with each location listed below:

Manchester Arndale, Selfridges Exchange Square, Exchange Square, Corn Exchange, Harvey Nichols, New
Cathedral Street, The Royal Exchange Manchester, National Trust – Castlefield Viaduct, AO Arena, New Century Hall at
NOMA, New Vic, Kampus, The Church (Chorlton Street) and Mayfield.

BEWARE – three of the monsters in Exchange Square and New Cathedral Street will only be landing in the city for
Halloween in the City on 28 & 29 October and some locations including Castlefield Viaduct, Corn Exchange and Mayfield
Park are only accessible when open to the public. Check the website for timings.

Taking place from morning until late across Sat 28 and Sun 29 Oct, Manchester’s Halloween in the City promises to be the best instalment to date, bringing another stacked annual programme of frightful family fun, including the all-day Monsters Rock music festival, a creepy carnival on St. Ann’s Square, the hair-raising Hell-ter Skelter slide and the opening of the Cathedral Gardens ice rink with Scare Skate on Friday 27 Oct, as well as an unmissable Monsters Rock party procession led by Walk The Plank and an all-day Halloween market with a diverse array of traders.
