Most organisers just clobber together a press release and beg a couple of websites to write about it when they want to announce the line-up for their festival. Not the guys at Carefully Planned – to announce the line-up of this year’s iteration of the all-day autumnal weekender (running 19 – 20 October this time round), they’ve decided to… throw a festival. Well, a festival of sorts at least – on 13 July, ACPF will be taking over Wahlbar, putting on some of their favourite acts and revealing just who will be playing their 3rd annual event over the course the day. Among the line-up will be much hyped youngster Kiran Leonard (“supremely, eclectically gifted”, The Guardian), Red Deer Club favourites Songs for Walter and cult classics Just Handshakes, as well as Arcs & Trauma, Cocos Lovers, Corvids, E Numbers, Kidsmoke, Neuron No, Tacetmusic, TALsounds/Steffi Neuhuber and Walton Hesse. Entry is free if you buy an earlybird ticket for the festival proper – not a bad deal at all.
