Manchester Collective and Fergus McCreadie present a night of thrilling musical fusion with The Unfurrowed Field at the RNCM

On Sat 9 Mar, the innovative classical music ensemble Manchester Collective unites with Mercury Prize-nominated pianist Fergus McCreadie for The Unfurrowed Field, a captivating musical voyage which blurs the boundaries between jazz, new classical and folk forms at the RNCM, with tickets guaranteed to sell out.

Promising to surprise and delight audiences of all tastes, McCreadie and his acclaimed trio of jazz musicians join forces with the Collective’s string quartet in a playful exploration of the thrilling commonalities across long-distinct genres, with a breathtaking programme which spans Haydn, Anna Meredith and a selection of McCreadie’s brand-new arrangements, as well as a specially created collection of traditional folk songs from fellow Scotsman, Donald Grant.
