Electrik bar in Chorlton is getting into the swing of things with another belting roster of DJs and record collectors taking to their single turntable for Wednesday night’s fabled ‘one deck sessions’. Kicking off with Reform Radio record selector Horace James Pomfret this Wednesday (10 Jan), the roster includes soul and disco spinner, Andrea Trout (Wed 17 Jan), before married crate diggers Lisa and Andrew Butterworth go tete-a-tete on just the one deck the week after (Wed 24 Jan). Finishing off the month is a night with the Queen of Salford (and Manchester) herself, Maxine Peake (see our full preview here). With no headphones, no mixing and no scratching it’s a chance to sit back with those in the know choosing the playlists of their lives from the records that mean the most to them.
