Bask in the Balearic vibes of record cover artwork in a new exhibition at Electrik. The Chorlton bar’s walls feature designs by vinyl-only label Aficionado Recordings. Featuring the cover and promotion art by Manchester artist Sarah Salkeld, the exhibition revives the spirit of the legendary Sunday sessions that used to take place in this very bar. The label focuses its musical vision squarely on Balearic dance music, and although they can’t promise Ibizan sunshine at the launch on Thursday 2 November from 7pm, expect music from Aficionado co-founder and Eastern Bloc veteran Moonboots. The free exhibition runs until Thursday 23 November 2017.
