Skulls, hearts and sinister talons can be found in a new exhibition by Manchester artist Thomas Lodge, better known by his artistic moniker, Death Glooms. The Font in Chorlton is hosting a display of his noir illustrations, many of which contain clear nods to master of horror, Edgar Allan Poe. This debut exhibition by Lodge includes bears badgered by insects, picked locks, and a range of spooky spectacles. Launch night promises cocktails possibly with a hint of macabre, party-starting pop-punk tunes from Font’s Fake Indie Night DJs, and, of course, cult artwork to browse and to buy.
