So many Manchester restaurants have jumped aboard August’s Eat Out To Help Out scheme, it can be tricky deciding where to visit. Each Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday of the month, diners can enjoy up to £10 per head off their final bill – accessing a tasty savings while helping the places we love get back on their feet. We’ve already suggested some of the best loved restaurants, pizza kitchens and coffee houses taking part in this thrifty deal – now here’s some of the best Manchester vegetarian restaurants that have got in on it too…
A firm favourite of Manchester’s free-from scene, Vertigo Plant Based Eatery has recently debuted its largest store to date at MediaCityUK, following their already popular spots in Deansgate and First Street. Head here if you’re after a wholesome and hearty breakfast, brunch, dinner or take away snack. Their vegan full english is a popular choice – as are their pancake stacks, drizzled in sticky Biscoff sauce. Tempted?
You can scour the menu at the always-popular Bundobust for as long as you like – you won’t find any meat on there. This subterranean food hall in Piccadilly Gardens allows you to enjoy a range of cheap and cheerful Indian street food, whilst basking in the natural light provided by their overhead skylight. Dishes are delightfully modern takes on traditional classics and designed to be tackled tapas-style, depending on how hungry you are. Take your pick – but Okra fries are a must.
Evelyn’s cafe and bar on Tib Street is a self-proclaimed comfort food emporium hiding in plain sight in the centre of the Northern Quarter. Their restaurant can see you through brunch to dinner, with an array of vegan and vegetarian dishes that can be eaten in or enjoyed to go. Bean burgers, Thai green curries and an array of salads are all available – but it’s the vegan blackberry cheesecake that’s caught our eye.
Head to Edge Street at the back of the Northern Quarter and you’ll find V Revs, a vegan diner specialising in gloriously over-the-top junk food that’s 100% free from animal products. A popular spot among Manchester’s vegans, you usually have to book in advance to secure a table at this cosy eatery – so we expect that booking your table early has never been more important now they’re offering this great August savings. Although one look at their burgers, sandwiches and desserts and we’re sure you’ll agree that it was worth wait.

The Arndale might not be your first choice for a slap up vegetarian meal – but head to the food market near the venue’s High Street entrance and you’ll find a real treat. Wholesome Junkies pride themselves on dishing up 100% vegan junk food, with burgers, shakes, fries and more on the menu – all of which is happily free of any animal products. There’s lots to enjoy here – but the salt and pepper fauxllumi fries with sweet chilli glaze and saratcha mayo are *chef’s kiss* good.
