Celebrate International Yoga Day next weekend with free yoga and mediation classes in the Great Northern’s outdoor amphitheatre and the spacious adjacent bar and nightclub, Impossible. Classes are being run by The Life Centre North, which in our opinion is Manchester’s finest studio, offering both hot and regular classes all day, everyday in their bespoke studio, just off Deansgate. Last year, on summer solstice, more than 200 people turned up for the event, and the organisers expect around 400 this time. All proceeds from the day will go to homeless support charity, The Booth Centre.  Places are limited so turn up early to secure your spot and bring a mat if you have one.

The schedule is as follows:-

12.15pm – Slow Flow yoga with Emily Cave (45min) – Amphitheatre

12.45pm – Modern meditation with Mick Timpson (45min) – Impossible

1pm – Vinyasa Flow yoga with Sue Diamond (pictured, 45min) – Amphitheatre

5.30pm – Beginner’s yoga with Emily Cave (45min) – Amphitheatre

6pm – Ashtanga yoga with Donna McCafferey (60min) – Impossible

6:15pm – Vinyasa Flow yoga with Sue Diamond (45min) – Amphitheatre

7pm – Booth Street Talk (15min) – Amphitheatre

7:15pm – Rocket yoga with Danny Solomon (60min) – Amphitheatre
