When two of Manchester’s hardest working and most loved musical collectives come together to put on a show you know you’re in for a treat, especially given that Comfortable On A Tightrope are a certified institution in the world of fuzzy pop in both promoter and label capacity, and Giant Hell are a diverse independent label headed up by members of Manchester alt-poppers Sex Hands, Irma Vep, Klaus Kinski and Dinner Party. Among the delicious morsels appearing at this all-day musical banquet are pop ‘n’ roll out of towners The Yawns, the much-raved-upon Queer’d Science, the shimmering surf of Zissou Society and the ‘warped blues’ of Dog Legs plus many more exciting appearances. If you like your catchy riffs served hot, get down to this one early, it’s going to be a blast.
