After bringing through El-B at the back end of last year, Obscure’s next headliner is the bossman at one of my favourite labels, Unknown to the Unknown. With a roster that includes the likes of DJ Q, Palace, Murlo and Stingray and a refreshing scattergun, see-what-sticks release policy, UTTU do things differently. Haus himself has been making power moves with his recent Thug Houz releases and collaboration with DJ Q, Trumpet and Badman being particular highlights.

There’s not really much you can say about J Dilla that hasn’t already been said. Now an annual event that’s firmly cemented into Manchester’s calendar, this fundraiser features the likes of Spin Doctor, Jonny Dub and the Juicy DJs paying tribute to the great producer. Dilla’s brother, Illa J, will also be performing live on the night.

Fri 31 Jan | Soul:ution | Band on the Wall
Headlining this month’s instalment of Soul:ution, one of the UK’s most loved jungle/D&B producers and DJs: Dillinja. 20 years strong into his career, Dillinja’s a true veteran of the scene, but don’t expect that to translate to a lack of energy. Support comes from Soul:ution’s stellar cast of residents, Marcus Intalex, Bane & Galvini and our very own MC Fox will be hosting on the night. Don’t expect tickets to hang around for much longer with this one.
